Creating New Era for Woodworking Industry

Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF 2019) grandly opens today at Hall 7.1 and 8.1 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China. Apart from furniture production equipment, the fair will also introduce woodworking machinery for wood primary processing and wood based panel etc., creating a one-stop sourcing platform for the whole industry chain. Mr. Parry Chung, General Manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. says “Continue collaborating with CIFF, the two fairs work together to tie up the upstream and downstream of the furniture manufacturing chain, and create a more fruitful, professional and international platform.” The fairs open on 8-11 September 2019, more than 1,500 exhibitors from different places in the world gather around. The 4-day fairs are expected to bring more than 150,000 visitors from various countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Singapore, India, Philippines, Indonesia, China, etc. Around 50 delegation groups from Russia, Malaysia, South Korea, Peru, Myanmar, Vietnam and China are being received during the exhibition.

A series of symposium and events will be held with the fair concurrently to provide industry players solutions and latest market trend.

“Tech Talk (I) – Surface Technology” was held this afternoon, focusing on smart manufacturing and design for Surface Technology. Various topics has been covered, such as “Application practice of painting process under the environmental protection policy” by Mr. Cheng Baocai, Technical Director of Boloni Intelligent Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., and “China waterborne wood furniture coating market analysis report” by Ms. Sandy Chen, Consulting Director of EN Strategy (ENS) Consulting Centre.

In the afternoon of 9 September, “Tech Talk (II) – Upholstery and CAD/CAM Technology” will be held. Forum on Furniture and Materials Advanced Manufacturing Technology will be held for the whole day on 10 September, covering topics like “Air Pollution Control Trends and Dust Explosion Prevention response of the Timber Industry”, “Advanced Technology and Equipment of Wood-based Panel” and “Present Status and Development of Edge Banding Technology of Furniture Panels” etc.
