Como resultado do trabalho de resgate, domesticação e registro realizado por Teresa Cerrillo, pesquisadora líder em Melhoramento Genético Salix, no âmbito dos Programas Nacionais de Genética e Recursos Florestais do INTA, iniciou-se recentemente a multiplicação e propagação de sete clones de salgueiro crioulo (Salix humboldtiana) registrados no Instituto Nacional de Sementes (INASE) pelo INTA Delta del Paraná.
